Covid 19 Motel Policy & Information

Updated Monday 18th January 2021.

Any person(s) who resides in, has passed through, or returning from a designated "RED" zone will unfortunately not be able to stay at our motel until further notice.  We are so sorry to have to do this - we must follow the rules.  Our latest directives are that any person who has travelled to/from a "RED" zone (regardless of state of origin), or been in close contact with persons know to have travelled to/from a "RED" zone, will NOT be permitted to stay with us at our motel until such time as we are advised otherwise.

While restrictions have now been sustantially eased in Victoria (and for Victorians), we are still far from being back to where we were pre COVID-19.

We want to assure our guests that we take your health, and our own, incredibly seriously. We continue to monitor updates regarding Covid-19 from the appropriate Government websites, the World Health Organisation and our Industry Partners. We constantly strive to adopt best business practices. Our business owners and a housekeeping Team respresentative have completed an Australian Government Department of Health eLearning course in Infection Control Training – Covid19. We also stay abreast of best industry practices via regular Victorian Accommodation Operator Briefings and other industry news forums.

Our housekeeping team have undergone comprehensive training in Covid Safe practices. You will see a number of changes across our property – both in our rooms and in our Reception area. Our cleaning functions are at a heightened level to keep us, and you, as safe as we possibly can and all “high touch” areas are thoroughly sanitised regularly.

Face coverings are now optional when in our motel Reception area.  Our owners and staff will exercise discretion as to whether they will continue to wear masks.

Should any guest or organisation wish to have a copy of our current Covid Safe Plan, you are more than welcome to request for a copy of this document to be emailed to you.  The plan is in the format of a Victorian State Government Word document template.

Unfortunately, some of our services are still restricted:

For the time being, we will continue to offer a continental breakfast only.  We apologise in advance to those guests who look forward to our cooked breakfasts.  We are in the process of sourcing stock supplies ready to relaunch our new breakfast menu in the coming weeks.

Our swimming pool is open and fully operational for the 2020/2021 season.  We will continue to enforce density limits as per Victorian State Government directives.

We will work with individual guests regarding housekeeping services for those guests staying two or more nights.  We respect that some guests are still apprehensive about travelling and prefer to minimise contact with others wherever possible.  We want to ensure the health and wellbeing of our guests and our staff at all times, and limiting contact is the best way to do this.  We will continue to adhere to our industry recommendations at all times.

What we ask of our guests:

For the health and welfare of the owners, our staff, and other guests of Junction Motel, Maryborough we will require:
